SONG-YUAN DYNASTY (960-1368)
Carved with bulbous eyes and a pointed beak, the top of the bird’s head is detailed with a ruyi halo. The wings and body are further decorated with fine incisions to depict its plumage. The neck is pierced at an angle with two holes connecting to each other.
