A YELLOW JADE ‘SHOURUYI
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
The shaped head is carved in shallow relief with a bat in flight suspending a ribboned musical chime and a central stylised Shou character below. The middle arching shaft is carved with a further Shou character surrounded by scroll foliage, above a sprig of peaches at the terminal.
