Lot Essay

Produced in the 1970s, Movado and Zenith joined forces to create the Astronic model. This model houses Zenith's El Primero caliber 3019 PHF which was made in the 1960s. This model was available in steel and gold, the latter becoming increasingly rare to find, especially in good condition such as the present example. Its heavy gold tonneau-shaped case with bracelet creates a 1970s aesthetic and is a great looking and unusual design in modern times. The Zenith-branded version of this watch is called the Luna Luxe.
