Illuminated initial opening text in blue on punched gold ground, floral border with gold balls in lower margin, rubricated, woodcut printer’s device on penultimate leaf (faint marginal waterstaining, occasional mostly marginal worming). Contemporary Augsburg blindstamped calf [Kyriss 81], title label on upper cover (rubbed and scuffed, small losses and wormholes, missing clasps and other metalwork). Provenance: Kloster Andechs (Benedictine Abbey dedicated to St Nicholas; inscription on title; bookplate of Johann V. Chrysostomus Huttler, abbot 1600-1610).
