Two Lowestoft blue and white mugs
cylindrical, each painted with an insects above a loose spray of flowers, the reverse with a lesser spray, above a blue line, the interior rim painted with flowerheads, scrolls and diaper panels, applied with a strap handle, indistinct painter's marks to footrims -- 14.5cm. and 11.5cm. high, circa 1768 (the larger mug with a minute firing crack to rim and minor staining, the smaller with hairline cracks to base and rim)
