A pair of English porcelain shell-encrusted baskets
the shell and leaf-moulded exteriors enriched in gilt on an orange and dark-blue ground, the interior painted with birds and sprigs, the rims applied with shells on seaweed, with pierced branch-moulded handles -- 10cm. high, circa 1840-45 (one cracked, some minor chips and wear)
