Château Latour 1949
Pauillac, 1er cru classé
Five with new capsules and labels, suggesting either late release or reconditioning. One scuffed capsule. Five slightly wrinkled labels, one slightly bin-soiled. Levels: four into-neck, one base of neck, one very top-shoulder
Tasting note: Fairly deep, richly, coloured; classic nose and flavour; slightly sweet, perfect weight and balance. Fully mature yet time in hand. Last tasted from an immaculate cellar, May 2007. At best ***** if well stored, a long life ahead. M.B.
