A George III four-piece tea service,
comprising: a tapering moulded oval teapot, milk jug and sugar basin and an oval teapot stand, each engraved with bands of wrigglework, ribbons and foliage, the stand engraved once and the other pieces twice with the crest of Scot within foliate cartouches, the teapot with rising curved spout, polished wood scroll handle and domed hinged cover with oval wood finial, the milk jug and sugar basin gilt-lined, the teapot stand on bracket feet, John Emes, London 1799 - height of teapot 6¼in.
