Launched in 1967, the celebrated Sea-Dweller reference 1665 was the first wristwatch designed for use in saturation diving. The HEV (Helium Escape Valve) – developed in the 1960s by Rolex in association with COMEX - allows helium to escape the case during decompression. Very rare, the present wristwatch is allied to a highly attractive dial in excellent overall condition and bearing the prestigious Tiffany & Co. signature. Adding to its overall appeal, the luminous accents have aged to an attractive and uniform tone and the stainless steel case was carefully preserved and features strong proportions.
