A JADEITE 'FLOWERS AND BIRDS' TWO-HANDLED CENSER AND COVER
19TH-20TH CENTURY
The censer is carved and pierced with two loose-ring openwork handles carved as flowering prunus branches that extend across the body of the piece, each with a pheasant perched on top. The censer is supported on six hook-shaped feet evenly spaced in a circle on the base. The flat cover is surmounted by a pheasant finial. The stone is of a pale emerald green tone with russet veins.
