QIANLONG FOUR-CHARACTER INCISED MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The snuff bottle is finely carved to depict the Daoist Queen Mother of the West, Xiwangmu, seated on a sedan chair floating on scrolling clouds with her attendants, several musicians and a dancer to either side. The reverse depicts Xiwangmu within a boat, amongst crashing waves, accompanied by attendants.
