The only edition of this account of the history and people of Greenland, corrected in contemporary hand. This work is based heavily on those of David Crantz and Hans Egede. ABPC and RBH record no copies having been offered at auction; Worldcat locates only one copy outside Denmark, at the British Library. Lauridsen Bibliotheca Groenlandica 37.
Octavo (174 x 102mm). Woodcut vignettes, occasional ink annotations in contemporary hand (some spotting and browning; faint marginal dampstain affecting a few leaves). Contemporary half calf over marbled boards. Provenance: M. N. Christensen (inscription) – Tomsen (inscription) – Wayfarer’s Bookshop.
