The first edition of Weld’s popular report on North America. During two years in America, Weld, an Irishman, visited major American estates including Mount Vernon and Monticello, and traveled through the forests of Canada with native guides. The lovely illustrations include three views of Niagara Falls, a "View of the Natural Rock Bridge in Virginia," and "Mount Vernon, the Seat of George Washington."
