The first edition of Nathorst’s scientific reports on the Arctic – a rare set in original parts. In addition to exploring Bear Island and Svalbard, Nathorst went to Greenland to search for Salomon Andrée’s ill-fated balloon expedition; although unsuccessful, he made many important scientific observations, recorded here.
