A set of four volumes in uniform decorated bindings chronicling the voyages of Nils Nordenskiöld. Two volumes record the journey of the Vega through the Northeast Passage and another her scientific discoveries on that voyage. The final work documents the Second Dickson Expedition into the interior of Greenland. Arctic Bib. 12443, 12432, and 12396.
Four volumes, octavo (237 x 163mm). 5 portraits; 15 folding maps; 4 leaves of manuscript facsimile; 12 plates, some color and double-page (closed tears in large folding pl. in vol. 3). Decorated red cloth (wear to headcap and joints of vol. 3). Provenance: Chet Ross Rare Books.
