PAVIE MACQUIN
Located on the Côte Pavie, Château Pavie-Macquin is neighbored with Pavie, Pavie-Decesse and Troplong-Mondot. Pavie Macquin was not only the man who once owned the estate, but who also saved Saint Emilion. He was known as the pioneer in the battle against phylloxera and the first to graft vines onto rootstocks. The estate is currently owned by the Corre family, progenies to Albert Macquin. In 2006, Pavie-Macquin was promoted to Premiers Grands Crus Classés B. The whole estate is now operated under biodynamic principles and meticulous care is made in the vineyards in order to produce the finest drops.
