Tasting note: Deeper colour than the 1802, slightly more expressive on the nose too. Petrol almost old Riesling tone on the nose. Rubber tyres with slight sweet peachy aroma behind. Fairly neutral nose like other JS Madeiras previously tasted, gives an appearance to have been aged in glass as opposed to Canteiro. Rhubarb aromas and rose petals. A direct medium sweet taste, with banana leaf aromas, some Indian spices and light styled with normal acidity. Last tasted December 2016. EV.
