Recorked in 2015. New wax capsules. Badly bin-soiled and damaged labels, vintage newly stencilled on neck of bottle. Levels into neck
This wine came from an old Madeira family collection of bottles which needed recorking. All bottles were tasted and when of good quality recorked by Francisco Albuquerque. The bottles offered in this sale are the ones with the best condition.
Tasting note: This wine has punch, on the nose floral tones quite attractive in fact. Finesse. Freshly crushed white peaches. A day I tasted another bottle which we opened just minutes earlier. It showed more butterscotch, vintage wax, dried peaches, in a more Fine creamy pure citrus taste, medium dry, lovely acidity. Well balanced. Very nice soft slight sweet. Last tasted February 2016. EV.
