Compare with a pair from the collection of the late Alfred Morrison sold by order of the Rt. Hon. the Lord Margadale of Islay, Christie's London, 18 October 1971, lot 12. Another similar fishbowl, from the collection of Sir Philip Sassoon, is illustrated by G.C. Williamson, The Book of Famille Rose, pl, L111. These large-scale pieces were among the most expensive and important output of the export kilns.
