(141cm.) long body-tube with rack and pinion focusing, lens cap, starfinder telescope with focusing and fine adjustment, raised on an alt-azimuth and equatorial mount with engraved scales, two mahogany and brass adjusting rods, the body-tube located by two leather straps with massive iron observatory stand, emobossed DOLLOND, London; the telescope carrying case containing additional eyepieces, a spectroscopic eyepiece signed John Browning, 63 Strand, London (the stand without mounting), the telescope (157.5cm.) high, the carrying case 61½in.
