Lot Essay

Compare the similar figure described as white-glazed with dark brown details from Anyang, and dated Sui dynasty, illustrated by Zhang Bai in Complete Collection of Ceramic Art Unearthed in China - 12 - Henan, Beijing, 2008, no. 41.

The result of Oxford thermoluminescence test no. P299j6 is consistent with the dating of this lot.
