A cosmographical work with special emphasis on the geography of Iran, Persian manuscript on paper, 217ff. each folio 26ll. of black naskh to the page, titles and important words in red, some phrases highlighted in red, catchwords, with map of Asia and North Africa, illustrations of the twelve zodiac signs, occasional tables, colophon dated and signed by Muhammad Sa’id bin Hisham al-Din Moraqim and illuminator Ibrahim al-Tabrin, dated AH 1258, fly-leaves with copious later owners' notes and seal impressions, in plain black morocco, pink paper doublures

This is a cosmological work concerning the geography of Persia and adjacent countries. The success of Mustawfi’s works can partly be gauged by their circulation; the relative popularity of the Nuzhat al-Qulub is shown by the number of extant manuscripts such as our copy.
