A Victorian teapot
of compressed moulded circular form, on a rim foot and with a chased rising curved spout, ebonised wood scroll handle and domed hinged cover with flower finial, ornately-chased and embossed with rococo flowers, foliage and C-scrolls and with two cartouches, one engraved with a crest, the other with a monogram, D.& C. Houles, London 1848 - 4¾in. (12.25cm.), 18.50oz. gross.
