The design of this carpet is a direct copy of the 'Vase' carpet in the Baltimore Museum of Art (M.S. Dimand and Jean Mailey, Oriental Rugs in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, 1973, fig.103, pp.72-73). A carpet of identical design but larger in proportion, sold in these Rooms, 6 October 2015, lot 33.
