The Worshipful Company of Framework Knitters was granted a charter by Cromwell in 1657. The Company used arms of this form between 1657 and 1738, when they were redesigned.

Of octagonal baluster form, raised on three scroll and pad feet and with capped scroll handle, one side engraved with a coat-of-arms within a baroque cartouche, marked on underside
