of inverted bell shape, on a spreading foot and with a moulded rim and two reeded scroll handles, the part spiral-fluted body decorated with a rope-twist band and punched stylised foliage and roundels, one side with a C-scroll and shell cartouche, maker's initials possibly W.S. or S.M., London 1766 - 4½in. (10.75cm.), 8.50oz.
