NATURAL PEARLS
Diving for natural pearls has been recorded in books since at least the 5th century AD, in the Gulf of Mannar in Sri Lanka. For thousands of years, natural pearls were retrieved by divers in the Indian Ocean, some having to dive for more 30 meters on a single breath.
