Fresh to the market, the present Patek Philippe chronograph is a very appealing example of reference 5070 in white gold.

The first chronograph-only timepiece developed by Patek Philippe after decades, the reference 5070 was created in 1998 and produced until 2010. First released in yellow gold, the chronograph was later manufactured in white gold, pink gold and platinum with the calibre 27-70 based on the Nouvelle Lemania ebauche especially developed for Patek Philippe and only used in the reference 5070 and 5071.

Now discontinued, it is estimated that only 1000 chronographs were made in white gold from 2001 to 2006.
With a 42 mm case, the wristwatch was crafted with a metallic dial, painted in a different colour subject to the case material. Second largest wristwatch produced by Patek Philippe at the time of its launch, the reference 5070 has become throughout the years one of the most sought-after chronograph wristwatch of the manufacture.
