Lot Essay

The present Cosmograph Daytona is a highly attractive and very well preserved example of the first generation of ref. 16528, denoted by its R serial number. It features the early bezel calibrated to 200 UPH as opposed to the 400 UPH of later series.

The eye-catching black dial enhanced by 8 diamond indexes features the upside-down 6 in the 12 hours register, which will be right-side-up from 1993
