Lot Essay

Rare and highly coveted, the present Rolex Daytona wristwatch is set apart from its contemporaries due to its remarkable overall condition as well as its dial. Early example of the reference 16528, the timepiece features a very attractive “Four Line” dial with inverted 6 to the hour subsidiary dial of the chronograph. Further distinguished by its early bezel, calibrated for 200 instead of 400 units per hour, the timepiece is crafted within an 18k gold case of impressive proportions, retaining its factory green Rolex sticker to the case back as well as extremely sharp hallmarks.

Impressive, the timepiece represents a key opportunity for Rolex collectors to acquire a rare and excellent example of the reference.
