NATHDWARA, RAJASTHAN, NORTH INDIA, EARLY 20TH CENTURY
Opaque pigments heightened with gold on cloth, depicting various scenes at Vrindavan including Krishna with Radha and gopis in the forest, Yashoda and Nanda seated in pavilions, female devotees worshipping at a shrine and bathing in a lotus pond below, bearing inscriptions in Devanagari script identifying the scenes and individual figures
