Born in Geneva in 1957, Antoine Preziuso spent his childhood dismantling and reconstructing watches with his father before gaining entrance to Geneva’s prestigious Watchmaking School in 1974 graduating with the highest honours. From there he went to the workshops of Patek Philippe specializing in major horological complications and then in 1981, opening his own workshop in Geneva where he worked on timepieces of the collection of the Musee de l'Horlogerie de Geneve as well as from the most prestigious private collections. For many years, Antoine Prezuiso remained a behind-the-screen creator of many complicated watches for various world-famous watch brands, the highlight being the commission from Breguet to create a series of minute repeating wristwatches with a perpetual calendar, a technical feat which was then never produced before and took 2 years of study, research and development before the production of the first watch. In creating the Opus 2, Antoine Prezuiso drew inspiration from the ironwork of the entrance to the Harry Winston boutique at Fifth Avenue in New York and worked to combine his beloved tourbillon with Harry Winston’s patented retrograde perpetual calendar on the reverse of the case. Presented in highly attractive condition and accompanied by its magnificent presentation box, this watch will no doubt bring great pleasure to the new owner.
