A VERY RARE CLOISONNE ENAMEL ARCHAISTIC VASE, FANGGU
YONGZHENG PERIOD (1723-1735)
The vase is decorated with archaistic motifs repeated in mirror image on each facet, including taotie masks on the middle section and leaves on the splayed foot, and applied with notched flanges dividing each side and at the corners. The interior of the mouth is enamelled with vibrant colours depicting a scrolling lotus pattern.
