A PAIR OF CLOISONNE ENAMEL JARDINIERES
QING DYNASTY, FIRST HALF OF 18TH CENTURY
Each jardinière is cast with six lobed sides and a tall foot of conforming shape, rising to a everted bracket-rim. It is well enamelled on each side with a shou character, surrounded by bats picked out in yellow, white, red, blue and purple, amidst colourfully decorated clouds, all reserved on a turquoise ground.


13 in. (33 cm.) diam.
