Lot Essay

Jing Hengyi (1875-1938), also named Ziyuan, and Yiyuan in his later years, was a native of Shangyu in Zhejiang province. He excelled in calligraphy, painting, seal carving and classical literature. He was the Dean of the Zhejiang Provincial Number One Normal School and the Dean of the Ningbo Number Four Middle School.
