BY LOUIS-CLAUDE PORCHER, MARKED, PARIS, 1767/1768, WITH THE CHARGE AND DECHARGE MARKS OF JEAN-JACQUES PREVOST 1762-1768
oval gold-lined box, the cover, sides and base set with panels of rose-coloured lacquer within chased pierced gold borders and hung with gold foliate garlands, the cover later centred with an oval portrait miniature of a gentleman, on vellum, French school, circa 1680, within a diamond-set silver frame
