TWO SMALL WHITE JADE ARCHAISTIC BI DISCS
MING-EARLY QING DYNASTY, 16TH-17TH CENTURY
Each is carved in high relief on one side with a chilong crawling around the central hole with a stem of lingzhi in its mouth, and each has a field of tiny bosses on the reverse. Each is semi-translucent, the smaller of white color with some opaque white mottling, the larger with a very faint brown tinge to the white color.
2 ¼ and 2 5/8 in. (5.8 and 6.8 cm.) diam.
