A WHITE JADE RECTANGULAR PLAQUE
18TH-19TH CENTURY
One side is carved in low relief with a figure in a log boat, possibly Zhang Qian, below an inscription, cheng cha fang di sun (ride the raft and visit the star of the Weaving Maiden [Vega]), and the reverse with two scholars seated at a stone table drinking wine. The semi-translucent stone is of even white color.
