A RARE BLACK-ENAMELED MOLDED PORCELAIN SNUFF BOTTLE
PROBABLY IMPERIAL, JINGDEZHEN KILNS, 1790-1820
The bottle is molded in high relief with the Eight Buddhist Emblems (bajixiang), each beribboned amidst flowers on scrolling vines, all on a diaper ground.
2 5/8 in. (6.6 cm.) high, glass stopper

Although this molded form with the Eight Buddhist Emblems is not uncommon to find, the black enamel is very rare to find on this mold and very few are known.
