IMPERIAL, JINGDEZHEN KILNS, JIAQING SEAK MARK IN IRON RED AND OF THE PERIOD (1796-1820)
The sides are finely-molded in high relief with flower filled vases, lanterns, censers, and vessels raised on stands amidst various scholar's items and 'antiques', all brightly enameled and reserved on a molded diaper ground.

Lot Essay

Molded porcelain snuff bottles were an innovation of the late Qianlong period and further developed and flourished in the Jiaqing period, exemplified by the current example. A nearly identical bottle from The Reif Collection of Chinese Snuff Bottles was sold at Christie's New York, 18 October 1993, lot 8.
