Count Camillo Marcolini was a minister and general director of the fine arts for the electorate, later kingdom of Saxony. In 1767 he was appointed Lord Chamberlain; in 1774, Director of the Meissen porcelain factory; in 1778 Lord Controller; in 1779 Lord Equerry and in 1809 minister of the Royal cabinet.
