TWO WUCAI JARS AND COVERS
TRANSITIONAL PERIOD, MID-17TH CENTURY
One jar is decorated with scholars and their attendants conversing on a terrace surrounded by rocks and plantains, and the cover has floral sprays. The other jar is decorated with two boys playing with a Buddhist lion whilst banging drums and cymbals, and two further boys dancing, and the cover also has boys at play.
