A PAIR OF BLUE AND WHITE 'PHOENIX TAIL' VASES
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The vases are decorated with vertical panels alternating between flowers, butterflies and riverscape scenes, beneath a molded ruyi-shaped border decorated with peony scroll beneath the mouth, and above a molded border of upright petal-lappets enclosing flower sprigs above the foot.
