A LARGE INCISED CELADON-GLAZED BOTTLE VASE
18TH CENTURY
The bulbous body is incised with two five-clawed dragons racing amidst flames and clouds in pursuit of flaming pearls below a third dragon at a similar pursuit encircling the neck above a band of rolling waves, the dragons' eyes in underglaze blue, and all under a glaze of pale sea-green color. The rim and interior are white, as is the base which is inscribed da Qing nian zao in underglaze blue within a double circle.
