A FAMILLE ROSE YELLOW-GROUND 'MAGPIE' DISH
TONGZHI FOUR-CHARACTER MARK IN IRON RED AND OF THE PERIOD (1862-1874)
The dish is painted on the interior with numerous magpies amidst prunus blossoms on a bright 'lemon yellow' ground. The reverse is decorated with three groups of stylized floral scroll.
11 1/8 in. (28.1 cm.) diam.
