A GUAN-TYPE MALLOW-FORM BRUSH WASHER, XI
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The brush washer is potted with eight lobes, each in the shape of a mallow petal, the straight walls flaring from a slightly recessed base. The washer is covered overall with a thick pale bluish-grey glaze suffused with a dense network of dark crackles.
5 ¾ in. (14.5 cm.) diam.
