QIANLONG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The finely potted dish is decorated to interior with a central medallion enclosing a five-clawed dragon chasing the flaming pearl amongst clouds. The cavetto is decorated with five large ruyi-shaped clouds and the exterior with cresting waves below clouds.
6 in. (15.3 cm.) wide

Acquired in Asia in the early 20th century, then by descent within the family.
