A BOXWOOD THREE-TIERED LOZENGE-FORM BOX AND COVER
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The top and bottom tiers of the box are finely carved to the sides with a band of lotus scrolls, framing the wider middle tier which is carved with a floral diaper ground. The top of the cover is carved with an intricate network of lotus scrolls growing from leafy scrolling foliage.
