A GILT BRONZE SEATED FIGURE OF TARA
18TH-19TH CENTURY
The four-armed deity is depicted seated in lalitasana on a double lotus base, with her principal hands held in vitarkamudra and the other hands holding a stem to her shoulders. She is draped in elaborate jewels, and wears a foliate headdress, her face with a serene expression and a third eye to the centre of her forehead.
