A TURQUOISE-GLAZED INCISED 'DRAGON' BOTTLE VASE
JIAQING SIX-CHARACTER INCISED SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1796-1820)
The vase is finely incised to the globular body with two five-clawed dragons chasing the flaming pearl amongst ruyi-head cloud scrolls, all above tumultuous waves crashing on rocks at the foot. A further dragon is carved coiled up the long neck below a classic scroll band at the rim. The vase is covered in a finely crackled deep turquoise glaze which pools at the incised decoration.
